How It Works

Before the treatment you will have a consultation where you will discuss the areas of the body you want to focus on. During your consultation before the treatment a trained professional will work with you to make sure you get the best results possible.

The plasma pen skin tightening treatment can take up to two hours depending on the size of the treatment area. Once there the esthetician will apply a numbing cream to the area being targeted. This will prevent any discomfort during the procedure.

The plasma is a gas that heats and disrupts down to the dermal layers of skin. The pen causes micro injury to the skin tissue that promotes the growth of new skin. The skin will be removed forming tiny scabs that will protect the skin from infection.

The Days Following Your Treatment

After the treatment you will be provided with a set of care instructions to follow. Some good tips are to avoid direct sunlight on treated areas for at least 48 hours. If you do go out into the sun make sure you keep the treated area covered and remember to apply sunscreen.

Avoid scented moisturizer and any exfoliators. Using an exfoliator can lead to tears in the skin that could cause infection. It is better for your skin to remain hydrated. A good over the counter moisturizing cream is Cetaphil or CeraVe.

It is important not to pick at your skin after the procedure. Do not remove the scabs instead let them heal naturally. Moisturize your face twice a day to heal your face quicker. Once the scabs have healed you can return to your usual skin care routine.
